1-day event from the Near Surface Geophysics Group of the Geological Society.

Venue: Burlington House, London & Online

9th December 2026

Convenors:

Tim Grossey, RSK Environment Ltd, tgrossey@rsk.co.uk

The Near Surface Geophysics Group of the Geological Society of London (NSGG) will be holding the seventeenth biennial day meeting devoted to archaeological geophysics on 9th December 2026. This is primarily an in-person day meeting at Burlington House, and we would encourage in-person attendance where practically possible. However, an option for online attendance will be available.

As with previous meetings it will offer a forum where contributors from the UK and further afield can present and discuss the results of recent research and case studies. Suppliers of equipment and software also attend. The meeting therefore represents an invaluable opportunity for archaeological, geophysical and forensic geoscience practitioners to exchange information about recent developments.

We are now accepting abstracts for the meeting via the NSGG website.
